What Thermal Pollution has done.Unfortunately thermal pollution affects many things like marine animals and plants that are found under water. Thermal pollution causes thermal shock, the decrease of oxygen in the water, and the movement of all the marine creatures from one area to another. It really does not take much to cause all these problems; it only takes the rise of 1 or 2 degrees, that’s it. Unfortunately there are some marine creatures that are not able to move, and once the temperature rises they cannot move.
These are some of the factores that contribute to air pollution: - Tobacco smoke, large ships, acid rain, paint fumes, combustion of coal, manufactoring buildings, nuclear weapons, and wildfires. |
How to make the differenceThere are small things that you could do to make the difference; things that will help prevent thermal pollution. Electricity take a big amount of cooling water, and that is why we should try to use less electricity, because it will really help stop thermal pollution. Cooling towers would also be a solution because it transfers heat from water into the atmosphere.
Here are some other ways to prevent air pollution: - Walk or ride on a bike more than driving, do not smoke, do not use lighter fluid when outside, replace car filter, and don't use cleaning products that contatin many chemicals. |
