All about Thermal Pollution
Thermal pollution is when the temperature of the water rises to harmful degrees in lakes, ponds, rivers and coastal bodies in the ocean. Some of our daily activities, like dumping boiling hot water into these bodies of waste, are the main reasons why thermal pollution occurs. Thermal pollution is caused by many different things even when the trees that make shade get cut off, and then make the temperature of the water rise.

The effects of thermal pollutionThermal pollution could harm animals, marine creatures, and plants. Thermal pollution could cause thermal shock and the decreasing of oxygen even when the temperature increases by only 1 or 2 degrees it could harm anyways. Most of the marine creatures die from the increasing temperature of the water, and unfortunately there are some marine creatures that do not move and do not even have the ability to escape. When these marine creatures die in the water it causes the color and the smell of the water to get worst and it could cause other problems to other marine creatures.

Decrease of OxygenCold water gives more oxygen than warm water, and unfortunately with the rise of the water temperature the oxygen starts to decrease. Oxygen depilation causes the level of oxygen to decrease in the ocean with the result of dead fish because they were without oxygen. . |
