Noise Pollution
Marine life can be susceptible to sound pollution and noise which is cause by ships that are passing through the ocean, and naval low-frequency active sonar. Marine creatures such as cetaceans do not have really good eyesight which consents them to communicate through acoustic information. This is also referred to all of the other marine creatures that live deep down in the dark ocean. This noise can also cause the species to communicate much more loudly. For example; whale songs are longer when submarine-detectors are on. When these creatures do not speak loud enough, this might be a warning in net preparation or finding a prey. When one specie beings to speak louder, it will directly bring other species to speak as well. According to an oceanographer undersea noise pollution is a terrible death. It might not matter if the noise is not that loud, but when there are many noises at the same time that really does cause problems to marine creatures. |
